EVERYONE Deserves A Home will help to raise awareness of Rhode Island’s homeless population and the already successful homeless recovery efforts of Riverwood’s Housing First program. The program provides permanent supportive housing, quality services and substantial monetary savings to the state and tax payers. Riverwood History
Riverwood Mental Health Services was founded in 1982 to provide community mental health services for persons who suffer from serious mental illnesses, primarily schizophrenia, bi-polar, and depressive disorders. Over the years, Riverwood has evolved from operating a single group home into a multi-faceted community service provider covering southeastern Rhode Island from Providence to Newport while providing a wide variety of behavioral health services. In 2006 Riverwood expanded it's mission and began providing services for individuals and families that were experiencing chronic homelessness.
Riverwood's administrative office is located in Warren, RI and the organization employs 85 full and part-time employees and has an operating budget of approximately $5.8 million.
